Biography
I work as a freshwater biologist at University College Cork (UCC), & have particular interest in the hydrological & chemical processes which influence aquatic communities. I am currently studying the potential of Natural Water Retention Measures (NWRM) to mitigate flooding & improve water quality in low order streams as part of the EPA-funded SloWaters project – a collaboration involving UCC, Trinity College Dublin (TCD), The James Hutton Institute & Newcastle University.
